Samah Sabawi with Corrie Perkin  

Victorian writer Samah Sabawi’s critically-acclaimed 2024 memoir Cactus Pear for My Beloved: A Gaza Family Story  was shortlisted for last year’s Stella Prize. When she visited our Festival last year, Samah described the experience of finishing her book as her father’s homeland was being destroyed. We welcome Samah back for a discussion about the power of writing to capture memories and shift thinking.
